Mabrookah Heneidi is an independent educational consultant and co-founder of Crossroads Advising. She has been working professionally as a university counselor since 2014, but has been involved in mentoring high school students through the college application process since 2003, when she was a student at Stanford University volunteering with underprivileged and first generation students in California. That experience opened her eyes to issues of representation and advocacy, and has inspired her to this day to support students in accessing higher education as a means for social mobility.
Mabrookah graduated from Stanford University with degrees in Human Biology and Middle Eastern studies. In 2004, she attended the Stanford Program at Oxford University, where she was a visiting student at Brasenose College. Upon graduating, Mabrookah began her career as an associate strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in Los Angeles, California. She later went on to earn her MBA from London Business School, and worked in the field of economic development.
After settling in Amman, Mabrookah transitioned to the education sector, working as the Director of University Counseling at a private IB school. During that tenure, she guided hundreds of students through the university application process. She traveled extensively throughout the USA, UK and Canada to visit universities and to attend international admissions conferences, including the CIS Global Forum on Higher Education and the Oxford University International Counselor Conference.
Mabrookah has found her purpose in supporting students achieve their fullest potentials by expanding access to international educational opportunities. In the course of her career, Mabrookah has become an expert in supporting students in their applications to universities in the US, UK and Canada, and helping them locate and earn scholarships to finance their education abroad. Mabrookah is a 2017 recipient of the Yale Educator Award.
